My Wonderful Room

My favorite room in my house is my own room. My room is in the back of my house next to my parent’s room. Firstly, my room is a place for me to relax and distress from the day. Another reason my room is my favorite is the mini fridge I have. I have everything from oranges to Gatorade in my mini fridge, that makes it so I can stay in my room for a while without having to come out for snacks. Thirdly, my room is my favorite is all the entertainment inside. I have a Xbox and a Nintendo switch for gaming and a TV for movies or TV shows. Another form of entertainment I have is a mini basketball hoop, I can shoot from far or I can do different type of dunks on it. Lastly my room have this sick room projector that makes it look like the northern lights on my ceiling, I also have plants which looks really cool. This is why my room is my favorite in my house, what’s yours?

20% Project-Week 2

This week was amazing I was able to accomplish all my goals such as finishing my last design. Some accomplishments I had this week were finishing and perfecting my first design from last week, and starting my second design which was also my goal this week. The only struggles I had this week were finding good pictures to design with and forgetting how to put layer different photos. Some adjustments I would make for next time is staying more focused on me and not people around me and find a way to try to erase the background of pictures faster. I left off halfway thru my second design and plan to pickup there next week. My goal for next week is to finish my second and start my third design. I also want to try to do things faster now that I know how to start, how to layer stuff, and what every button does. That was my week 2 blog hope you enjoyed!

My Dream Room

If I could build my dream room it would be huge and awesome! My dream room would have everything it would have a small fridge, a dessert bar, a really cool gaming setup, and a bunch of sports goals and hoops. For the sports side of the room I would have a mini basketball court, a soccer goal, and a mini golf hole. For the gaming side of the room I would have every gaming console, a Xbox, a PlayStation, a PC, and a Nintendo Switch. Also, I would have a really big and comfy bed. Lastly, on the roof I would have LED lights and make the roof retractable so I can look in the sky whenever I want. That would be my dream room, what would yours be?

20% Project-Week 1

Hello my name is Ricky and for my 20% Project I chose Sports Graphic Design. My goal for this week was to get familiar with the app I’m using which is photoshop. I accomplished that goal and started my first design which was my second goal. I learned how to layer images, how to add and erase images, and how to add effects to objects. I watched a couple tutorials on how to start a new project and how to add and layer photos. Next week I intend to start my second design easier now that I know what most of the buttons on photoshop do. Having an experienced mentor really does help me a lot, my mentor is an experienced graphic designer who I saw on YouTube and I reached out to him and he responded. He said if I need help with something or have any questions just to contact him. I think Sports Graphic Design was a good choice for me and my personality. Thank you for reading and have a good day.

The Best Dinner Ever

If I could have dinner with any three people ever I would have it with Drake, Steph Curry, and my best friend Jordan. I would choose it to be somewhere where there is Italian food because that is my favorite food. One reason I would want to have dinner with Drake is because he is one of my favorite artists and he seems to have a great personality. He seems like we would have some great conversations and be fun to talk to. One reason I would want to go to dinner with Steph Curry is because he is my favorite basketball player and ever since I was little I have been obsessed with him. When I was walking around when I was younger someone would always say “Oh you look like Steph Curry.” The picture below is me when I was young wearing a Steph Curry jersey. Lastly, the last person I would like to have dinner with is my best friend Jordan. I met Jordan when I was in preschool and have been friends ever since. After fifth grade, we went to different schools but we never stopped talking. These are the three people I would want to have dinner with, who would you have dinner with.

RAD READING-MARCH

This month I read a book called Rebound by Kwame Alexander. This book is about a teenage boy named Charlie Bell, Charlie likes basketball and comics. Charlie’s dad died from a heart problem a couple years back and he still hasn’t gotten over it. Charlie is getting ready for one of the best summers of his life until his friend steals a bottle from his neighbors yard so he can sell it for money and buy candy at the store. Everything is going good until his mom finds out and yells like she’s never yelled before saying that he is going to end up in jail. As a punishment his mom sends him away to his grandparents house so he can work and learn manners. His cousin Roxie invites him to her basketball team but since he is not the good he is scared and doesn’t want to join. But he does and he does good and gets to the championship, at the very end of the game with a chance to win the championship he has the shot that decides who wins, will he make it?

I liked this book because Charlie has a similar personality to me and I can relate to him in ways. My favirote character is Charlie because he is competitive. One quote that proves this is, “Then I practice shooting jump shots from the corner and she rebounds the ones I miss, which are plenty.” This quote shows that even though he is missing a bunch he is getting better so Roxie won’t destroy him in a 1v1 which he hates. My favirote quote from this book is, “If I had the right shoes, Charlie bell would never lose.” I like this quote because I said to my friend when we were playing basketball against each other if I had basketball shoes I would easily beat you. I like this quote because I relate to it.
